HISTORY OF HOLY CROSS OF SASA, INC.
Holy Cross College of Sasa, Inc. was founded through the dynamism and leadership of the PME Fathers with the unrelenting support of the parishioners and church workers. The pressing need for a Catholic Education and Evangelization for the young inspired them to establish this Catholic Institution of learning to help educate the youth and its neighboring communities.
In 1966, Rev. Fr. Joseph Godbout, PME founded the school with the name, Holy Cross Academy of Sasa (HCAS). On its first year of operation, the school has an initial enrolment of 100 students. From 1966 to 1983 several PME Fathers administered the school. Rev. Fr. Donald Bouchard, PME was the last school director to administer the school from 1981 until 1983.
In 1983, Rev. Fr. Bouchard, PME invited the Congregation of the Teresian Daughters of Mary (TDM) through the Most Rev. Antonio Ll. Mabutas, DD, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Davao who was the Founder of the TDM Congregation to take over the administration of the Holy Cross Academy of Sasa. Sr. Ma. Cristina H. Cachero, TDM became the first Directress from 1983 to 1984 followed by several TDM sisters up to the present.
The ownership of the school was given to the Teresian Daughters of Mary in 2002 with the land/school site under Deed of Usufruct for 25 years with the Archdiocese of Davao signed in 2003.
Holy Cross Academy of Sasa was renamed in 2009 to Holy Cross College of Sasa, Inc. (HCCSI) when the school started to offer college degree programs.
In School Year 2023-2024, HCCSI has an enrolment of 641 students in the Junior High School, 375 students in the Senior High School, 26 students in the Modified Work Study Program, and 135 students in the College Department with a total of 1,177 students and 67 Full Time employees.
HCCSI is already Level 1 accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) in March 2022 and is now working on the Level 2 accreditation.

The EARTH symbolizes a fertile ground for the mission field, where faith, hope and charity will be planted.
The RIBBON where the message of the underlying theme is written symbolizes a horn to announce the message.
The GEAR stands for a fixed transmission setting that detective power/direction for the Institute to achieve level of efficiency.

Holy Cross College of Sasa, Inc. (HCCSI) as a Catholic learning institution believes in nurturing a community that actively endeavors towards total human development.
With “responding faithfully to God’s call to holiness in life and leading others to a culture of excellence” as a guiding principle, the school believes in the importance of providing diverse and relevant educational services and formation programs for the continuous improvement of a person’s life, family, and the community.
HCCSI further believes in a Christ-centered education which strongly adheres to truth, commitment to service, compassion for others, genuine witnessing of Gospel values, and sharing them to others in simplicity as exemplified by the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and St. Teresa of Avila.
